Summer Fun--Weekend Recap

This past weekened was a blast! A friend rented a large slip and slide, so on Saturday we headed to her house.

A loved the slip and slide! She spent almost the whole time we were there on it. She did take a small break to play toddler rock band with a friend's daughter.

The adults took a few turns as well, but I will spare the world those photos! I can say though, that I felt my age the next day. My arms, legs, and back were all sore!

After a sun and water filled afternoon, we packed ourselves up and headed to a baseball game.

A has been to two semi-pro games before, but this was her first professional sporting event. J's work bought tickets for his entire department, and a guest. Our seats were good, probably the closet I have ever sat at the Ballpark!

A wasn't real sure about the big league action. The stadium she has been to before is much smaller, and the crowd is generally not quite as boisterous. The Rangers had a great game, so that meant a lot of cheering. Our seats were also right under a set of speakers, so the Bug spent a fair amount of the game like this:

Her ails were cured by a visit from the cotton candy man though. It is amazing what the fluffly stuff can do!

We headed home during the 8th inning, and we all slept until 10:00 the next morning. We spent Sunday relaxing. We went to the grocery store and hung out at home. Then around 5:30 we headed to a local restaurant to have dinner with some friends.

All in all, it was a great summer weekend! Now we are gearing up for the 4th. How did you spend your weekend? And do you have any plans for the 4th?
